POSB Everyday Champions for Sports Awards
published on 12 May 2010

While most coaches maintain just an email account for students and parents as a means of communication, NROC Basketball Coach Wong Hwee Liak went a big step further by setting up an Instant Messaging account to chat with his students so that he can advise them on-line and on-time on training matters and more. The resulting on-line banter actually helps to forge closer ties between them; such banter can sometimes conversations stretch for hours.

Find out more about how Hwee Liak and other sports coaches have gone on to become winners of the POSB Everyday Champion for Sports Award 2009.
