| Tao Li and Amanda Lim Take Top Spots in SNOC MAP While 44 Athletes Were Rewarded for the First Time |

Singapore, 2 February 2012 - For their great outing at the 26th SEA Games, 50 Team Singapore athletes from five water sports - canoeing, sailing swimming, waterpolo, and water ski - earned themselves a well-deserved S$335,000 or close to 65 percent of the total SNOC Multi-Million Dollar Award Programme (MAP) reward of S$525,000. They were joined by 28 others to receive their awards from Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC); and Mr Chan Chun Sing, Acting Minister for Community Development Youth and Sports.

Singapore, 4 December 2011 - The second edition of the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) took to the roads of Singapore today, with a record-breaking 65,000 runners starting at three different start points in the early morning. Kenya once again dominated the full marathon categories with the Men's Open Category being won by 35-year-old Charles Mwai Kanyao, and last year's winner, Irene Jerotich Kosgei, retained her crown for the Women's Open category. Singaporeans, Mok Ying Ren and Qi Hui also held on to their titles for the Men's and Women's Full Marathon Singapore categories.

Singapore, 2 December 2011 - This year's Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) will feature an impressive contingent of elite athletes, which includes some of the highest ranked marathon runners in the world alongside last year's race champions. Tweaks have also been made to enhance the race experience for all participants, as the organiser, the Singapore Sports Council (SSC), works towards achieving the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Gold Label certification for the event.

Singapore, 1 November 2011 - A 14-year-old synchronised swimmer, a 76-year-old debutant, three Paralympians, seven pairs of siblings and a father-daughter waterski team. These are just some of the characters that will tell Team Singapore's story at the 26th SEA Games and 6th ASEAN Para Games in Indonesia this year.
2 At the flag presentation ceremony this evening at SCAPE, Guests-of-Honour Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean along with Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Mr Chan Chun Sing, presented the respective contingents with the Singapore flag, as symbol of honour, for them to take to the Games.

Singapore, 17 October 2011 - Come 4 December, runners at the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) 2011 can expect a more positive race experience as a result of a number of key improvements made to the Marathon based on the feedback received from participants last year.
2 Committed to better the race experience, SCMS Organiser, Singapore Sports Council (SSC), took extra efforts to improve the race routes and baggage collection point. "At the top of our list of priorities is creating an exciting and safe race experience for everyone. As we strive to further develop the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore as the People's Race, these operational improvements goes towards providing a more positive race experience for all our participants," explained Mr David Voth, Senior Director, Sports Business, Singapore Sports Council, and Vice-chairman of the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2011 Organising Committee.
