| Singapore Sports Council (SSC) Scholarship |
|
The SSC Scholarship is intended to be offered to outstanding individuals who can make their mark blazing new frontiers in a dynamic and vibrant sports industry. Successful applicants may further look towards the possibility of a promising career filled with infinite possibilities and opportunities to learn and excel.
What we look for
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take up citizenship
- Outstanding GCE "O" and "A" levels or Diploma results
- Good track record of co-curricular activities, especially in the area of sports
Components of Award
For Overseas Scholarship, the following may be expected:
- Tuition fees
- Maintenance and other allowances (book, warm clothing, computer and settling-in)
- Return airfare (economy class)
- Possibility of sponsorship for exchange programmes and Masters degree
For Local Scholarship, the following may be expected:
- Tuition fees
- Maintenance and other allowances (book, computer, hostel and settling-in)
- Possibility of sponsorship for exchange programmes and Masters degree
Fields of Study
Preferred fields of study include but is not limited to:
- Sports Science
- Sports Marketing / Management
- Sports Media & Broadcasting
Bond Period
If accepted into the scholarship programme, you will work in SSC for 6 years and 4 years upon successful completion of the Overseas Scholarship and Local Scholarship respectively.
Your Career Possibilities
You will be attached to various Groups in SSC as a management trainee to get all-rounded exposure to the various aspects of sports administration. Depending on mutual discussion on organisational needs and aptitude, you may pursue a career as a sports specialist in a chosen field of study. Career advancement could depend on the assessment of your performance and potential.

Application for SSC Scholarship has closed. Only applicants shortlisted for interviews will be notified.
SSC does not enter into any correspondence on the award of the Scholarship. Successful candidates who are awarded the Scholarship will have to apply to the respective universities on their own.
SSC reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions of any SSC Scholarship without giving prior notice.
