| Singapore Sports Council (SSC) Scholarship |
|
The SSC Scholarship is offered to outstanding individuals who are able to blaze new frontiers in a dynamic and vibrant sports industry.
It is designed for those who seek a steep learning curve within a structured career. Successful applicants may look towards a promising career filled with infinite possibilities and opportunities to learn and excel.
Upon graduation, the incumbents are exposed to strategic management, marketing, finance, human resource, e-business and entrepreneurial skills whilst getting a well-rounded exposure to the various aspects of sports administration.
A mentor is assigned to each individual and together, they will complete a competency review and skills audit in creating a customized development plan. At various stages throughout the year, performance and development of the individual is reviewed, complete with an annual self and mentor appraisal. Career advancement will depend on the comprehensive assessment of the individual.
What we look for
- Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take up citizenship
- Outstanding GCE "O" and "A" levels or Diploma results
- Good track record of co-curricular activities, especially in the area of sports
Components of Award
For Overseas Scholarship, the following may be expected:
- Tuition fees
- Maintenance and other allowances (book, warm clothing, computer and settling-in)
- Return airfare (economy class)
- Possibility of sponsorship for exchange programmes and Masters degree
For Local Scholarship, the following may be expected:
Tuition fees
- Maintenance and other allowances (book, computer, hostel and settling-in)
- Possibility of sponsorship for exchange programmes and Masters degree
Fields of Study
Preferred fields of study include but is not limited to:
- Sports Marketing / Management
- Sports Media & Broadcasting
- Sports Science
Bond Period
If accepted into the scholarship programme, you will work in SSC for 6 years and 4 years upon successful completion of the Overseas Scholarship and Local Scholarship respectively.

Application for SSC Scholarship is open and will close 2 weeks after the release of GCE A level results.

SSC does not enter into any correspondence on the award of the Scholarship. Successful candidates who are awarded the Scholarship will have to apply to the respective universities on their own.
