Sport Nutrition
Without the proper fuel, an athlete's body cannot achieve peak performance. The Sport Nutrition unit helps athletes plan their diets to ensure they are getting the proper nutrition - during training, competition and recovery. Nutritional needs vary with each phase of training, and Sport Nutrition promotes healthy, responsible eating at all times. Sport Nutrition also provides advice on nutritional supplements.

Services available at the Sport Nutrition Unit:

  • Individual dietary assessment, counseling and menu planning
  • Anthropometric profiling (an assessment of body composition)
  • Practical skill development sessions, including cooking skills, understanding food labels and menu planning
  • Interactive education, talks and workshops
  • Application of research results in new training methods, products and strategies to enhance athlete performance.
  • Analysis of diets, recipes and food records

Other Resources:
  • Asian Flavours of Fitness: Written and tested by our sports dietitians, these local recipes have been revamped into athlete-friendly meal ideas.
  • Performance Fuel: An easy-to-read booklet, providing athletes with the basic principles of sports nutrition.
