Sport Physiology
Sport physiology helps to gauge the athlete's responses and adaptations to training and exercise by conducting sports-specific fitness and performance testing. Based on the test results conducted, the coach can identified the athlete's areas of strength and weakness. Appropriate training interventions can then be implemented to effectively improve the athlete's physical and sporting potential.
Services Available at the Human Performance Laboratory
  • Comprehensive physiological and fitness testing on the playing-field or in the laboratory-setting
  • Guidance and feedback to coaches on designing sport-specific tests
  • Analysis and interpretation of testing data
  • Optimal training methods and sport-specific interventions to further improve the athletes physical prowess and performance
  • Educational talks on applied sport physiology
  • Applied research to determine ways and strategies to optimise athletes sporting performance
