About Sports Library
SSC Sports Library is the only specialised sports library in Singapore. It's aim is to provide up-to-date sports information to the sports fraternity, academic institutions, schools and the general public.

The Sports Library, located at 230 Stadium Boulevard (Near KFC and MacDonald's Restaurant), was established in 1973 to serve as a centre for the receipt, exchange and dissemination of sports and sports-related information.


The Objectives of the Sports Library are:
  • To act as a focal point for the receipt, exchange and dissemination of sports and sports-related information
  • To keep decision-makers informed of local and overseas developments in sports and sports research
  • To provide reference and loan services of books and audio-visual materials
  • To keep abreast of international development in sports research and information, the library maintains regular contact with international sports organisations and resource centres in America, Canada, Europe, Australia, Africa, Asia and Oceania regions

It is affiliated to the International Association of Sports Information (IASI) based in Europe since 1973. It is also a member of the Singapore Integrated Library Automation Services (SILAS), set up by National Library Board in 1987.
