The primary objective for the Safety Excellence Centre is to allow for a dedicated training location for SSC and MCYS to practice CPR training as 96% of SSC staff are CPR & AED certified.
Subsequently, NSAs can also use the centres to refresh their skills, since minimally 2 NSA staff are required to be CPR/AED certified.
Schools can also visit the centre to learn more about safety during open house and have hands-on CPR training.
Other aims include:
- To polish skills for SSC, MCYS and NSA
- All in sports should be trained in CPR/AED are in sports safety recommendation
- Participation figures
- Training equipment such as adult CPR manikin with skilled reporter, AED trainer set, peripherals such as AED training pads, printer paper and ink, batteries, face shield, alcohol swabs, hand sanitizer, posters and collaterals, display cases with safety equipment, wall stickers, giant vinyl stickers featuring safety message for façade
